If I do a good job she'll tell everybody come Sunday morning, but if I do a great job, making her hair so smooth and shiny that she won't believe it's her own, if I make her look that good, then she'll go home and get on the telephone or she could go to the phone that's by the cash register and call up Miz Penelope and Miz Velma and them right this very afternoon, and then before she leaves the shop, all of them could be coming in here, standing in lines and crowding into the seats, pushing ladylike but pushing just the same for they chance to get they hair done by the one and only Billy Beede.
